To illustrate GrarageBand’s ease of use, Collin grabbed an Fender USA Jazz Bass from off the wall and laid down several takes into the digital audio workstation. Collin was then able to select the best take and apply it to the mix. He also tastefully tweaked the sound with onboard effects.
The short 45 minute course gave the basics of navigating the GarageBand interface including track types, audio levels, panning and tempo selection. The three remaining classes in this series the topics of virtual instruments, effects, mixing and publishing. It also included a question-and-answer section that allowed participants to inquire further about GarageBand’s functionality.
